This course provides opportunities for candidates to explore specific teaching andassessment strategies and processes particularly suited for the field of English. Emphasis will be placed upon thetools of inquiry and national/state standards for English/communication. This course involves intensive study andpractice related to the theory and pedagogy of their discipline(s). The purpose of this course is to immerse andprepare competent teachers of English. Education candidates must earn a C or higher to successfully completethis course.Credits: 3Course Prerequisite(s): Candidacy status in education and admission to Professional Semester
