This course provides opportunities for candidates to explore specific teaching and assessment strategies andprocesses particularly suited for the field of Biology. Emphasis will be placed upon the tools of inquiry andnational/state standards for Biology/Life Science. Candidates spend 15 weeks in intensive study and practicerelated to the theory and pedagogy of their discipline(s). The purpose of this course is to immerse and preparecompetent teachers of Biology. Education candidates must earn a C or higher to successfully complete thiscourse.Credits: 3Course Prerequisite(s): Candidacy Status in Education
