Students will examine modern-classic plays and then more recent plays that comment upon or expand on those classic works as in Miller's The Crucible followed by Kimberly Belflower's John Proctor is the Villain (currently on Broadway). What can traditional theatre works provide for audiences today and what in them has encouraged fresh looks? This course is open to Honors Program students.Prerequisite: approval of the honors director.3 Credits
