This course examines genres of non-fiction writing by reading evaluating and analyzing non-fiction essays creative non-fiction works memoirs satires blog posts reviews op-ed articles etc. Students use the rhetorical and generic conventions modeled by these readings to produce new works of non-fiction. Students develop an understanding of the writing process as well as create a substantial work or portfolio of non-fiction.Credits: 3PreReqs: ENGL 3020
