This is a fundamental course about conduction convective and radiation heat transfer. It covers the applications of the laws of conservation of mass impulse momentum and conservation/transformation of energy and the corresponding transport coefficients. Principles of steady-state and transient heat conduction in solids are investigated. Heat transfer in laminar and turbulent boundary layer flows are treated as well as condensation and boiling phenomena thermal radiation and radiation heat transfer between surfaces. Applications to heat-transfer equipment and heat economics are covered throughout the course.Prerequisites: ENGR3110 and ENGR33003 Credits
