This course is devoted to develop an understanding of the principles of facilities location layout and material handling systems and to practice the planning and designing of facilities. Emphasizing design modeling and analysis techniques; the course will provide a balanced exposure to available methodologies in facilities location layout and material handling and also to practical issues that are difficult to capture in quantitative models but are critical to consider. Also covered in this course are related contemporary approaches and technologies.Prerequisite: ENGR3700 or ENGR3600 or Concurrent3 Credits
