This course is a fundamental course in supply chain and logistics. It presents comprehensive discussion covering the planning organizing and controlling of such activities as transportation inventory maintenance order processing purchasing warehousing material handling customer service and product scheduling. It is specifically designed to help students solve actual challenges that they will encounter in today's market place. It also bring together the strategic role of the supply chain key strategic drivers of supply chain performance and the underlying tools and techniques for supply chain analysis. Logistics and supply chain management today represents a great challenge as well as a tremendous opportunity for most firms. Another term that has appeared in the business jargon recently is demand chain.
