The student learns selection analysis and design of various machine elements. The course introduces concepts of loads stresses deflections material selection fatigue and failure as well as mechanical power transmission components including gears bearings shafts and frictional devices.Prerequisites: ENGR2100 ENGR2160 and ENGR21803 Credits
