This course consists of a well defined and academically supervised engineering experience at an industrial site or in a laboratory setting requiring a minimum of 150 hours of work. Students must have their internship secured before seeking department head approval to register for the course. Enrollment in this course is not capped and students can be added late during the semester if a student begins an internship and can complete the work requirement before the end of the semester. The course must be taken concurrently with the internship work; a summer internship for credit requires ENGR4900 be taken in a summer session. The student must be registered for the course and communicate with the instructor to receive the syllabus and course requirements before hours can be counted toward the 150 minimum. Prerequisite: Department Head permission 3 Credits
