The purpose of the internship is to provide the student with an opportunity to explore health services administration career interests and apply theoretical knowledge and skills in a work setting. The internship experience facilitates student learning and builds professional connections and networks. All students must complete 120 hours in an internship to complete the degree. In order to accommodate and customize the internship requirement students can customize the experience by registering for one two or three credits per semester. Each credit hour will equate to 40 internship hours. This will occur in the last 1-3 semesters depending on the number of hours taken each semester. The student will be required to complete a minimum of 120 internship hours in order to fulfill degree requirements. The student may choose to register for 1 2 or 3 credits based upon student and site internship preceptor needs.Prerequisites: HSAM48303 Credits
