This course provides opportunities to study the defining and fundamental concepts of knowledge management. Knowledge management is the logical and historical extension of expert systems in business and knowledgebase systems. The course covers methods of knowledge creation and acquisition and techniques of knowledge representation as well as the use of knowledge in organizations. There is a discussion of the ethics of knowledge management. The defining and fundamental concepts covered are data information and knowledge tacit and explicit knowledge personal and organizational knowledge maps knowledge access and processing sharing and application.
