The Computer Information Systems (CIS) department internship/co-op provides students with a diverse set of professional experiences while working at an external organization in an area within the information technology field. This internship/co-op will provide students with practical knowledge and on-the-job training that will further enhance the knowledge and skills they have learned in their degree program. In addition to a supervisor at their workplace students will work with a faculty supervisor and will be responsible for completing academic assignments related to this experience. The student must complete 150 hours of work to equal 3 credit hours. (50 work hours = 1 academic credit). Undergraduate students may be approved for up to a maximum of 12 academic credits of internship/co-op as an elective course(s) within their degree program.
