The purpose of this introductory course is to help students become proficient in elementary algebra in order to ensure success in the college algebra and math reasoning courses. In particular students will explore the real number system linear equations and inequalities exponents polynomials factoring and the Cartesian coordinate system. Placement into this course is done through the placement testing program. (3 credits)
