This course is the third in a three-course calculus sequence. Topics covered include conic sections lines curves planes(including tangent planes and normal planes) parametric equations vectors in Rn normal vectors tangent vectors gradientvectors vector operations including dot and cross products vector-valued functions curvature of vector paths partialderivatives directional derivatives extrema of functions of two variables Lagrange multipliers double and triple integralsin rectangular polar cylindrical and spherical coordinates and applications of multiple integrals in geometry engineeringand physics.Prerequisite: MATH2170 with a minimum grade of C or equivalent.4 Credits
