This is a course designed for students with majors in several mathematics related areas. Topics covered include matricesoperations with matrices inverses of matrices singular and nonsingular matrices linear systems determinants and theirproperties vectors vector spaces subspaces linear independence basis and dimension of a vector space orthogonalitylinear transformations eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Applications include Markov chains equations of planes areas ofparallelograms and triangles quadratic interpolation balancing chemical equations and global positioning systems.Prerequisites: MATH2070 A C grade or Better is Required3 Credits
