Renowned scholar Peter Drucker (1985) refers to innovation as thetool used by entrepreneurs to recombine resources in novel ways in order to formulate newexpressions of products services and other forms of value creation to users. This coursepresents cross-disciplinary perspectives and methods in the innovation process by which todevelop new a innovation for eventual prototyping and testing and diffusion. The courseemphasizes product/service process experience and business model innovation and invitesthe exploration of other forms of innovation as well. It aims to introduce students to newtechniques and approaches by which to design new innovations that better meet customerneeds and imagines solutions for complex issues as well as approaches for managing theinnovation process within an organization.Prerequisites: MGMT 3650 Entrepreneurship and Innovation
