This course is designed to review the latest principles of public relations and advertising with emphasis upon the crucial role of research in the field of public relations and advertising to develop informed strategy monitor communication programs and to evaluate overall campaign effectiveness. The course begins with an extensive orientation to the types of research essential at various stages of public relations and advertising campaigns. Building on the research skills from the core research course students will learn more advanced research concepts and methods in public relations and advertising and apply those skills to the planning implementation and evaluation of public relations and advertising campaigns.Prerequisites: COMM2000 or COMM2015
