RMU Professor presents at 2nd annual Documenting Jazz Conference

Dr. Pinson's book entitled "The Jazz Image: Seeing Music Through Herman Leonard's Photography"

In January 2020, Dr. Heather Pinson presented at the 2nd annual Documenting Jazz Conference in Birmingham, United Kingdom. This conference was inspired in part from her book entitled The Jazz Image: Seeing Music Through Herman Leonard's Photography. Her book was one of the first academic publications on jazz and photography which inspired the conference organizers to create a conference that encompasses visual aspects of representing music.
