David McCormick, CEO of Bridgewater Associates – the world’s largest hedge fund – will speak at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021, in the UPMC Events Center as part of the RMU CEO Lecture Series.

The event is free and open to students, faculty, staff, and friends of Robert Morris University. Refreshments will be served at a networking reception immediately following the lecture and Q & A.

David joined Bridgewater Associates in 2009 and was president and co-CEO before becoming CEO in 2020. Prior to Bridgewater, he was the U.S. Treasury Under Secretary for International Affairs in the George W. Bush Administration during the global financial crisis, and also had senior roles on the National Security Council and in the Department of Commerce.

From 1999-2005 David served as CEO and then president of two publicly traded software companies, and before that was a consultant at McKinsey & Company. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, a former Army officer and veteran of the First Gulf War and has a Ph.D. from Princeton’s School of Public and International Affairs.
