Adam ’13 & Mallory Tokarski ’14 M’19

We met during my sophomore year at Norwin High School (he was a junior). Adam would attend all of my field hockey games with some of his friends, all dressed in kilts (field hockey staple) and blue & gold (Norwin HS colors). After one of my games Adam said the five special words that would get the attention of any teenage girl: "Do you want any Skittles?"" I was instantly smitten.

Adam graduated high school and attended RMU, majoring in engineering. I attended RMU one year later, majoring in nursing, and played for the field hockey team. Adam graduated from RMU in the winter of 2013, but attended the Spring 2014 graduation ceremony with me so he could officially walk. After the graduation ceremony we took the classic pictures with friends, family, etc. Adam pulled a group of our friends and myself in for one more picture, where he proposed. His sister, Rachel Tokarski, is a wedding photographer, so she was able to capture the beautiful moment. We got married in Deep Creek, Md., in 2016.
