The School of Engineering and Science offers robust programs that prepare students for innovative careers in engineering and science.
Engineering B.S. (Mechanical concentration)
The Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a Mechanical Engineering concentration applies the principles of mathematics, physics, and related engineering sciences to the design and analysis of automobiles, aircraft, heating and cooling systems, buildings and bridges, industrial equipment and machinery, medical devices, and more.
Students learn concepts of energy conversion, fuel and combustion technologies, biomedical product manufacturing, and noise control and acoustics.
Environmental Science B.S.
The B.S. program in Environmental Science both focus on how the diverse areas of science can work together to promote effective and beneficial uses of the planet's physical and biological resources. Specialized courses demonstrate how technology, business, and management practices can be applied to aquatic, atmospheric, and geologic systems for the betterment of humanity. Students also have the option of a pre-med concentration designed to prepare them for admission to medical school after graduation.
Biology B.S.
The B.S. in Biology prepares students for a number of science-based careers. The program includes biological, chemical, and physical science courses as well as advanced life sciences coursework and research. Students also have the option of a pre-med concentration designed to prepare them for admission to medical school after graduation.
Graduates go on to work in a variety of fields, including medical research, conservation, public health, and veterinary medicine. Jobs include biologist, forensic biologist, veterinarian, doctor, dentist, and nurse.
