RMU Campus Updates

Planned Campus Power Outage | Wednesday, November 4

Duquesne Light will perform necessary infrastructure repairs on campus tomorrow, Wednesday, November 4, 2026. 

These repairs require a planned power outage from approximately 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM. 

• All morning classes and activities are canceled.
• The regular campus schedule and afternoon classes will resume at 1:00 PM.
• Staff and administrators should report to work at 1:00 PM. Essential personnel should report at their normal times. Please contact your supervisor with any questions.

Yorktown Hall, RMU Island Sports Center, and Facilities Service Center will not be affected by this outage.

Students scheduled to register for classes for Spring 2027 should still be able to do so at their appointed time through their phone or other device connected to a cellular network.  If WiFi is needed, the Hale Center will have WiFi during the outage.

Residence Halls

• Office of Residence Life staff available via phone at  412-397-5252
• Office will open at 1:00 p.m.

Dining Services

• Dining - Open normal operating hours. RoMo’s Cafe projected to open at 1:00 p.m.
• Check FoodU App for live menu and hour of operation updates.

Shuttle Services

• Counseling Center: Will open at 1pm
• Student Health Services: Will open at 1:00 p.m. and offering virtual appointments. Schedule here.
• Student Recreation and Fitness Center: Opening at 1:00 p.m.
• Resident Student Mailroom: Opening at 1:00 p.m.
• Rogal Family Chapel: Opening at 1:00 p.m.
