  • Effective Feb. 8 Kevin Hearn will join RMU as the next vice president for enrollment management. Hearn is an innovative and collaborative higher education executive who has nearly 30 years of experience building and leading diverse teams to drive institutional initiatives and achieve organizational goals. His progressive leadership has allowed him to serve at the senior executive level for the past 15 years, working directly with college and university presidents, boards of trustees and advisors, as well as corporate and private sector executives. • RMU has been chosen as recipient of the "It's On Us PA" grant. The program, which was created by Governor Tom Wolf in 2016, "supports postsecondary institutions’ efforts to create campus environments in which all community members work together to end sexual violence and where the rights of survivors are protected and appropriate resources and accommodations are available." The nearly $30,000 grant will fund programs and resources as we work to prevent and address sexual assault.

  • Please remember that the only RMU logo that is approved for official use can be found at the university's online Brand Toolkit by clicking on the link for Logos and Identity. One way to be sure you are using the correct logo is to make sure it has a Registered symbol (®) and not the Trademark symbol (™). If you have any questions, please contact Mitch Kramer at kramer@rmu.edu.

  • The university has expanded its COVID-19 testing capacity so that we can now administer a re-entry test to all employees as they return to campus. This is an optional and free service that is being offered in partnership with the Allegheny County Health Department, Curative, Inc. The date for employee testing is Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. The tests will be performed on campus at the UPMC Events Center upper parking lot, near the UPMC Gate entrance. • RMU has once again received PNGAS Guard Friendly School designation. To date this distinction has only been given to 42 higher education institutions and proves our support for the PA National Guard and the PA National Guard Association. Congratulations to the RMU Center for Veterans and Military Families!

  • We're working our way through a backlog of media placements over the past couple of months, so be sure today to check out the best of RMU in the News from November.
