  • Through the weekend, 2,977 U.S. flags will be displayed on the Nicholson Lawn, one for each person who died in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The flags are placed on the lawn every year at RMU to mark the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The project has been overseen since its inception by Beth Miller, associate director of the Center for Student Success, with student and alumni volunteers placing and removing the flags. Several student organizations assisted this year.
