  • With the start of a new academic year, it's a good time to remind everyone that the university uses the RMU Alert system to notify you of campus emergencies, as well as weather-related delays and cancellations. The RMU Alert system is, in fact, the primary way in which we alert students, faculty, and staff to weather-related delays and cancellations, including adjusted start times.

It is very important that you make sure your contact information is up-to-date. In particular, you should provide a mobile phone number to receive voice and text messages in the event of an emergency. Visit rmu.edu/alert to learn more about RMU Alert and for sign-in instructions. To update your account, follow these steps:

    1. Go to www.rmu.edu/rmualert

    2. Login using your RMU User ID and Password (Single Sign-On)

    3. Verify and/or update the information listed under SMS Numbers, Email Addresses, and Voice Numbers.

RMU tentatively plans to test the RMU Alert system on Thursday, September 16. You will receive more details about the upcoming test via email.
