Communication B.A. (Advertising)
The B.A. in Communication with a concentration in Advertising prepares students for careers in advertising by emphasizing the role of creativity and market awareness in all media. Students take courses in persuasion theory and mass communication and learn how to prepare strategies for target audiences through advertising campaigns, social media marketing, and media planning.
Graduates go on to careers in retail and corporate advertising, marketing, brand management, media sales and planning, event planning, and new media communications. Jobs include copywriter, art director, marketing coordinator, graphic designer, and media planner.
