Mathematics B.S. (Financial Mathematics)
The B.S. in Mathematics with a concentration in Financial Mathematics prepares graduates for a wide variety of careers in the financial services industry and other jobs requiring a combination of strong financial and quantitative skills. Faculty members are specialists in their areas of expertise, and all have related work experience as practitioners in the field, giving students a competitive edge in their careers.
Graduates of the program may find employment in banks and investment firms, insurance companies, underwriting, insurance rating firms, statistical research firms, health industries, state and federal government agencies or consulting firms. Jobs include including actuary, financial analyst, and forecaster.
