  • The class of 2022 nuclear medicine students have created a service learning project called "Backing the Brave,"  in which they collect cold weather gear for the Veterans Leadership Program, which houses over 4,000 veterans annually. The 13 students set up a GoFundMe page and raised over $400 so far that were used to purchase backpacks, hand warmers, blankets, gloves, socks, coats, scarves, and hats. Many of the students have family members and friends that are veterans. One classmates, J. Patrick Hunter, wanted to make sure that his fellow veterans who did not make a smooth transition from the military to civilian life would be taken care of and their burden lessened.
  • Five RMU Marching Show Band members have been nominated to participate in the College Band Directors National Association Virtual Intercollegiate Marching Band. The band will perform in a video at halftime during the college football national championship game on January 21, 2021. The RMU nominees are:

    Alex Downs, trombone
    Grace Fertenbaugh, alto saxophone
    Josh Horn, sousaphone
    Taylor Pannett, dance team
    Josh Pitcock, trumpet
