  • Robert Morris University has teamed up with FedEx Ground to allow 105,000 eligible employees in U.S. and Canada to receive a certificate, bachelor's, or master's degree at a discounted tuition rate. For doctoral programs, RMU will match FedEx Ground tuition assistance dollars according to company procedures. Read more about this new partnership here.

  • The School of Engineering, Mathematics and Science Research and Outreach Center hosted No School STEM Day at the Western Allegheny Community Library. Four RMU students participated in teaching the elementary students about chemistry. They actively ran the experiments and engaged in authentic interactions with the little scientists.

  • RMU's annual United Way campaign will run from February 1 through March 23 and end with an Employee Appreciation party on Friday, March 27.Over the last three years, employees of RMU have raised $61,989.28 during our annual United Way Campaigns. This year, as we kick off our employee led campaign, we hope that together we can create life changing moments for people in need with our united support and contributions.

  • January 28
    • RMU is hosting its annual Winter Blood Drive in partnership with Vitalant on Tuesday, January 28, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the John Jay Gym. Walk-ins are welcome, but if you want to make an appointment please email Donna Anderson your cell phone number and your preferred time. The entire donation process should take no more than one hour.
  • January 29
    • The Department of Marketing invites you to the Center for Sales Excellence Open House on Wednesday, January 29 from 4:30-6 p.m. on the first floor of Massey Hall. RSVP by Jan. 27 by emailing Renee Lyles.
    • The Center for Global Engagement invites you to a welcome reception for Rooney Visiting Scholar Klas Borell from 3:30-5 p.m. in the Rooney House in Colonial Village. Borell is senior professor in social work and sociology at Jönköping School of Health, Sweden.
  • January 30 - March 2
    • The Enrollment Management Division is offering a professional development opportunity for RMU faculty and staff members to learn more about college affordability. Vice President Wendy Beckemeyer will present eight modules in the College Affordability Academy®. The following topics below will be covered in four two-hour sessions. A fifth session will be a capstone project presentation and luncheon, for all who have completed the Academy.
      The sessions are scheduled for the dates below, and will take place in Franklin 204.    
      • Thursday, January 30     2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
      • Wednesday, February 12 10:00 a.m. – noon  
      • Monday, February 24     1:00 – 3:00 p.m.  
      • Monday, March 2   2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
