Economics Graduate Grace Fertenbaugh to Present Research Paper at the Pennsylvania Economic Association Annual Conference

This spring’s economics graduate Grace Fertenbaugh was accepted to present her research
paper titled “Defensive Medicine, Tort Reform and Medical Technology: Analysis from the
National Practitioner Data Bank” at the 35th Pennsylvania Economic Association Annual Virtual
Conference, May 20-22, 2021. She will present her work in the student paper competition.
Grace’s advisor for her study that involved physician malpractice payouts is Dr. Stephen
Foreman, Professor of Economics in the Department of Social Sciences, and Professor of Health
Care Administration in the Department of Nursing.

Warmest congratulations to Grace Fertenbaugh on her graduation with a B.A. in Economics and
a minor in Mathematics, and finishing her studies with an impressive research achievement!
