Business Administration B.S. (Marketing)
In today’s complex world, with the advances of omnichannel and artificial intelligence, the need for students to understand how to ensure a highly personalized customer experience is paramount. The B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing gives students a comprehensive overview of the latest trends in marketing. The program ensures that students learn both a practical and an intellectual curriculum; our programs are designed to cater to the fast-paced marketing ecosystem. RMU belongs to the award-winning American Marketing Association (AMA) student chapter. The AMA Chapter claimed the top 25 chapter of 2026, out of 344 international AMA chapters. RMU is a full member of the University Sales Center Alliance, which sponsors the Pi Sigma Epsilon student chapter. Lastly, RMU houses two dedicated certificates, the Logistics and
Sales Certificates.
The Marketing Department at RMU sponsors many student competitions, including the American Marketing Association International Collegiate Competition, the National Collegiate Sales Competition (NCSC), the Direct Effect Competition with the United States Postal Service, and the National Collegiate Sports Sales Competition. The department also sponsors a yearly trip to Switzerland, where three students are selected to participate in a semester-long practical business project with a real client. Beyond this, we host several companies where students solve real-world business problems, integrating these courses into our curriculum. Students gain credible experience both in class and outside of the classroom, where they have
opportunities to apply classroom concepts to solve real-world business problems. We understand that our students need to meet the business world.
Graduates hold positions in sales, advertising, research, marketing consulting, public relations, communications, logistics analysis, procurement, product movement, product fulfillment, warehouse fulfillment, data analytics, and retailing. Jobs include sales professional, account
manager, market researcher, media buyer, consultant, data analyst, fulfillment specialist, continuous improvement analyst, operations specialist, logistics management specialist, and public relations account executive.
