When I made the decision to transfer to Robert Morris College, I had no idea that I was going there to meet my wife. The brochures did not have her photo, a description of her, or even her awesome smile luring me to Moon Township. I was a naive country boy going off to college to study books.

Books were a big part of college, but God had bigger plans for me. Little did I know that Robert Morris had fraternities and sororities, which facilitated mixing lots of guys with lots of ladies until the small hours of the morning. I had never seen so many pretty girls in one room in my entire life, and some were even talking to me. Then one night, the prettiest girl of all walked into the party and into my life. She was gorgeous. She had big brown eyes, dark hair, a Mediterranean complexion on a pretty figure, and an unforgettable smile. It didn’t take long before she was smiling at me.

She was smiling at me because I said to her, “You have your shirt on backwards.” The blouse she was wearing was low cut and was showing her back. Not so funny stuff, but it worked. At the next party, I saw the same gorgeous lady. I went up to her and said, “I see that you found the rest of your shirt.”

She was so impressed that I had remembered her that she rewarded me by changing my life forever. In September we will celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary.
