"Nick and I met in 2012, when Nick was a freshman at RMU and I was finishing up my senior year of high school. We met while both working at a local nursing home; Nick was a nursing assistant and I was a receptionist. It was truly love at first sight! Nick was a nursing student and the starting center for the Robert Morris football team. This made his schedule extremely busy. With the amount of time and dedication Nick was placing with his schoolwork and the team, I was easily persuaded to also attend Robert Morris University so that we could be together. I always knew that I wanted to complete my B.S.B.A. with a specialty in Marketing and continue on for my master’s for a future in medical sales but Nick was pretty unsure what his future held while attending classes to become a nurse. Nick completed his bachelor’s in nursing in 2015 but continued on playing football for one more season so that he could complete some classes for medical school. By this time Nick had decided he wanted to be a doctor. In 2017 we moved to Orlando so Nick could obtain his medical school degree at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. Of course, I required a proposal before moving so far away from home... During our years in Orlando, I obtained my master’s in instructional leadership through Robert Morris’s online program and Nick and I got married. Currently, I am a sales manager with a major respiratory company, striving every day to make sure patients have what they need in this pandemic. Nick is currently in his last year of medical school and will soon be an M.D. We are hoping to return back to Pittsburgh by July for Nick to continue his training and to be around family to welcome our first child this September. Nick and I have grown a lot from our Bobby Mo days but we wouldn’t change a minute of our time spent there."
