Matt and Tori met for the first time at the RMU Sentry Media Retreat before the 2015 fall semester began. At the time, Matt was the Sentry’s chief graphic designer and Tori was an incoming freshman media arts major with a concentration in graphic design. There was an immediate connection and they began working and creating together, and soon began dating. Essentially they were drawn to each other from the start, pun intended. In September of 2020, the two took their relationship to the next level when Matt planned for a fellow alum to schedule a “couples photo shoot” at the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden “for a class project.” Tori didn’t realize this was actually a setup, where Matt would get down on one knee to begin the next chapter of their lives together. They have been planning feverishly since then, and are excited for their wedding this May.
