Personal Mention

  • History professor John McCarthy has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to teach and lecture next spring in Bratislava, Slovakia. He is RMU's fifth Fulbright Scholar since 2008.
  • Congratulations to Tracy Frazier, associate director for the Center for Student Success, for a near flawless state audit of the Act 101 program and budget. Every 3-5 years, the PA Department of Education conducts a thorough audit of the Act101 programs around the state. PHEAA's Act 101 program is a state-funded program which allocates funds to Pennsylvania schools that operate an Act 101 program at their institution. Schools use these funds to provide services to academically and financially disadvantaged students to assist them so they can successfully complete postsecondary study.

  • The Biodiversity Heritage Library has invited the RMU Library to participate in a library-oriented social media campaign for Women's History Month! The social media blitz starts on March 8, which is International Women’s Day, and continues through the end of the month. Additionally, if you know of any item in our library that would make a great post, please email Jackie Klentzin at Klentzin@rmu.edu, and she will make certain to include it in the campaign.
