  • The RMU virtual Commencement Ceremony will be broadcast at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 9, via Facebook at facebook.com/rmupgh and also at rmu.edu/commencement. The event will honor bachelor's, master's, and doctoral graduates, and feature a message from 1972 RMU graduate Brenda Lauderback, chair of the Board of Directors for Denny's Inc. An in-person ceremony will take place in the fall, at a date that is still to be determined. 

  • Jamie Pinchot, Donna Cellante, Sushma Mishra and Karen Paullet published "Student Perceptions of Challenges and Role of Mentorship in Cybersecurity Careers: Addressing the Gender Gap" in the Information Systems Education Journal (ISEDJ), V18 N3 Pages, 44-53. 

  • The Center for Veterans and Military Veterans was proud to assist the RMU Student Veterans Association in the donation of dozens of essential food items to the Veterans Leadership Program of Western Pennsylvania. These food items will be included in the VLP's next Military Share Food Distribution on May 11th. If you are a veteran or military family in need of assistance, please call the VLP at 412-481-8200. We are so proud of our SVA and the positive impact they have on the local community.

  • Freshmen Megan Muller was recognized as a 2020 Above and Beyond Mentor by Strong Women, Strong Girls. The committee noted that "Megan consistently impressed her fellow mentors with her positive attitude, willingness to work hard for the chapter as an E-Board member and frequent event attendee, and commitment to serving girls through mentorship." RMU was also named "Most Inventive Chapter."

  • The Center for Veterans and Military Families is proud to announce the following students have been accepted into cohort VII of Leadership Pittsburgh's exclusive Community Leadership Course for Veterans: Javonna Tyson-Burgess, James P. Martin, and Timothy Kelly Jr. The course initiative aims to leverage the skills and experiences of post-9/11 veterans for the betterment of the broader Pittsburgh region.

  • RMU Rocket League has advanced to the F\finals of the NACE Rocket League Spring Cup following their 3-0 victory over Rollins College in the Semifinals this week. The finals series will be Monday, May 11, at 8 p.m. and will be streamed once again on twitch.tv/rmucolonials.
