Introducing RMU Ready, your personalized roadmap for success.
Through this comprehensive co-curricular initiative, you’ll work with dedicated advisors to develop a customized, step-by-step, year-by-year plan designed to help you explore possibilities, gain hands-on experience, and successfully achieve 7 out of 10 core competencies. By grounding your education in the NACE Career Readiness Competencies, RMU Ready ensures you develop the essential skills employers value most, leaving you prepared, confident, and Unstoppable.
The RMU Ready Program Overview
Overall Program Requirement
Students will successfully complete 7 out of the 10 competencies, accumulating a total of 700 points, to fulfill the RMU Ready program. As you complete each competency, you will earn a digital badge that you can display on your LinkedIn profile to showcase your achievement and validate your skills for potential employers.
Completing a Single Competency (100 Points)
To achieve completion and earn your badge for any single competency, you will earn points from two sources, totaling 100 points:
• A minimum of 50 points from engaging in Events and Tasks.
• An additional 50 points earned through the dedicated Academy.
How to Log Points
Task - Search for the task in the RMU Ready program on the Suitable site using the task's name or corresponding competency. Follow the instructions provided to submit your work and earn points.
Events - Points for event attendance are automatically applied. Simply scan the provided QR code at the event, and the points will be added to your Scorecard*

Financial Wellness Academy - Master essential financial skills—from budgeting to investing—for a secure future.
Interview Academy - Enhance your interview skills with practical strategies and AI feedback to stand out to employers.
Leadership Development Academy - Develop your leadership potential with emotional intelligence, visionary thinking, and inspiring others.
Professional Networking Academy - Learn how to showcase your aspirations, skills, and experience and build a standout profile.
Professionalism Essentials Academy - Build workplace etiquette and habits to thrive in any career and elevate your professional game.
Social Impact Careers Academy - Dive into self-reflection to discover how to align your career with your passions, skills and values.
Teamwork Fundamentals Academy - Strengthen your teamwork skills for clear communication, collaboration, and impactful group success.
Technology Enrichment Academy - Protect yourself in the digital world by learning essential cybersecurity skills to stay secure online.

Beyond the foundational academies, RMU Ready offers personalized opportunities to deepen your expertise in each competency. Working closely with your advisors, you’ll identify additional activities tailored to your interests and career goals. These activities may include workshops, internships, volunteer experiences, or specialized projects. Each completed activity earns you points, bringing you closer to mastering the competencies.
Your Progress, Your Achievements
As you accumulate points and demonstrate proficiency, you’ll earn digital badges representing your mastery in each NACE competency. These badges can be showcased on your LinkedIn profile, providing tangible evidence of your skills to potential employers.
