Federal Depository Library Program
RMU Library participates in the Federal Depository Library Program as a “Mostly Online Federal Depository Library," developing and maintaining its electronic collections in accordance with the regulations put forth in the following publications or their successor documents:

Responsibility for Collection Management
The Federal Depository Collection is developed and maintained by the librarian responsible for the management of the Government Documents Collection, in compliance with the RMU Library's Collection Development Policy, in consultation with other RMU Librarians, and under the supervision of the Library Director.
Mandatory Elements
In fulfillment of its statutory obligation, the RMU Library provides access to the FDLP Basic Collection: http://www.fdlp.gov/requirements-guidance/collections-and-databases/1442-basic-collection
Discretionary Elements
The remainder of the Government Documents Collection is developed according to the following priorities:
- Materials that support RMU curricula or research
- Materials of a demographic, economic, historic or cultural nature that focus on the city of Pittsburgh, the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Statistical Area, or the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- Any other publications or documents that may be of use or interest to members of the RMU community
