Special Interest Organizations
Robert Morris University has a number of special interest organizations and activities.
- Active Minds
-
Hi there!
So I bet you're wondering what Active Minds is and what we do. We are here to change the conversation about mental illness, raise awareness of mental illness, and to erase the stigma surrounding it.
Active Minds is the nation’s only nonprofit organization dedicated to utilizing the student voice to raise mental health awareness among college students. The organization develops and supports student-run chapters on colleges and university campuses that promote a dialogue around issues of mental health and educate the entire student body about available resources in and around the campus community.
1 in 4 people live with a diagnosable mental illness, yet we can't talk about it.
Come join the conversation and help to erase the stigma! Check us out on our RMU Revolution Page or contact;

- Rock U
-
We created this club in the Fall of 2016 to create an environment where the everyday acoustic strummer, bass plucker, keyboard tapper, shower singer, etc. can hang out with fellow amateur musicians and have a good time. Our club has two main categories: lessons and performances. Have an instrument you've always wanted to play but don't know where to start? You're in luck! Our friendly members will try anything to help you learn to play whatever instrument you want! Already have an instrument or want to sing but have no where to do it? Come on by and hang out with us! Want to perform songs with your friends for an audience? We have worked tirelessly to set up plenty of opportunities for you to do just that! We do live concerts, TV performances, and we have our own radio show, Rock U Radio! All of which you will be more than welcome to perform on! There are many opportunities for musicians of any level, so come on by and rock with the Rock U crew!
