  • The UPMC Events Center has been named one of the Engineers' Society of Western Pennsylvania's 2020 Projects of the Year.

  • Sigma Tau Delta and the Arts and Humanities department is announcing the "Our Favorite Books" Scavenger Hunt. We've placed 5 printouts of book covers around campus (all covers are for books by African American authors). Participants can send a picture of themselves with the poster or just send in the name, title, and location of the poster for a chance to win a $25 gift card (their name and RMU email address must be included). Since there are five covers, each person has five chances to enter. Contest closes February 28. Send all entries to Pamboukian@rmu.edu

  • Beginning March 1, 2021, the Recreation Center will re-open to staff and faculty members on a limited basis and at a reduced cost. For $10.00 per month the center will be open to staff and faculty from 6 am - 8 am, Monday through Friday, between 8 am - 9:30 pm on Saturdays and between 8 am - 10:45 pm on Sundays.   • Join Multicultural Student Services in celebrating Black History Month, "Connected Together." Events like "Black Girls Still Rock", R&Bingo, Netflix movies, "Daughter of the Boycott" book discussion, and Kahoot Game Night occur almost every day in February.   • Media Arts Professor Carolina Loyola-Garcia and her advanced cinema and television II class invite you to hear live music safely in a pandemic. This Monday, February 22 at 7 p.m. is the second installment of our new live music series at RMU-TV featuring nationally renowned jazz musicians Tania and Jeff Grubbs. Hosted by Daryl Shawn, enjoy live music and conversation from the AMC!
  • Due to inclement weather and potential power outages, the first RMU Honors Roundtable of the semester hosted by Soren Fanning, associate professor of history, titled "Our Inner Barbarian: Examining the Societies of 'Barbarian' Peoples" has been rescheduled for February 23 from 3-4pm. You can join the roundtable on 2/23 by clicking here.
    All faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend this discussion. If your class is attending the roundtable for an assignment or extra credit, please let us know so Lindsey (sabolcik@rmu.edu) can send invites to the students and track their attendance.
     
  • The Massey Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovations presents A Massey Masterclass with pro football athlete and former Steeler Marcelis Branch and CEO Kenny Davis. The two RMU SBUS alumni are co-founders of The No Days Off Society, a fitness and lifestyle company. The event takes place Wednesday, February 24 at 6:00 p.m. Access the Google Meet here.
     
  • The RMU Center for Innovation and Outreach invites you to attend our second Virtual Innovation Speaker Series event from 2 - 3 pm on Friday, February 26th, featuring Christine Furstoss, former General Electric Officer and CTO.  Christine will be presenting "Innovation Success and Failure: Lessons Learned."
