Breakthrough Pittsburgh & CIO  is offering a 3 series immersive college experience; the first  was Saturday,  January 22, 2022

Sixty middle and high school students who visited RMU CIO and the Engineering Department. Breakthrough Pittsburgh is a tuition-free, six-year academic program that is dedicated to creating a community of students that have access to programs and resources that enrich their knowledge, experiences, and skills. It is a vibrant learning community, where highly motivated students matriculate to and graduate from college, many as the first in their families to do so, and current college students emerge as leaders who are inspired to become the next generation of educators and child advocates. These students are highly motivated, college bound students that are ideal to build the RMU pipeline. Chief Diversity Officer Dr. Anthony Robins along with RMU Engineering Faculty,  Dr. Ben Campbell  and Dr. Luis Monterrubio and 6 RMU undergraduate volunteers offered lego robotics and 3D modeling sessions with hands-on experiences in engineering skills. Students also went on a campus tour with admissions representatives to show everything RMU has to offer.  Breakthrough Pittsburgh will return on February 19th.
