Counseling Center: Appointment Quick Facts

Appointments are required for teletherapy services. Walk-in/call-in assistance is available for crises.The Counseling Center strives to assist all students in a timely manner.

Appointment Quick Facts:

• Available to currently-enrolled RMU students at no cost
• Made on a first-come, first-served basis
• Recommendations for next steps will be made collaboratively after the first appointment
• Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM; appointments are scheduled between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM
• Typically last about an hour, and are usually scheduled to begin on the hour
• Confidentiality is strictly maintained
• Counseling records are not part of a student's academic record
• May be canceled/rescheduled by the Counseling Center to accommodate emergencies, closures, etc.
• If a student requires more intensive services (i.e. more than once per week), they may be referred to an outside provider
