Telecommunications

The RMU IT department is responsible for managing all telecommunications on campus. This includes, but is not limited to, telephony service for emergency call boxes located across campus, fax machines, employee desk phones, interactive voice menu systems when dialing into the University, call queues, and more. Any telecommunications request, including moves, adds, and changes, should be initially directed towards the IT Help Desk. 

Phone Guides

Robert Morris University utilizes Polycom phones and provides a variety of different models for different purposes. The model number of a particular phone can be found on the back of the phone. Click here for user guides for the various phone models found on campus.

Voicemail

The RMU voicemail system is called Colonial Mail. All employee desk phones have voicemail capability and access to Colonial Mail. Voicemail messages are also e-mailed to employees. Click here for instructions on how to use Colonial Mail.

MeetMe Conferencing

MeetMe Conferencing is a free on-demand audio conferencing service provided to RMU employees that enables them to improve collaboration by quickly and easily setting up conference calls. Click here for instructions on how to register for and use MeetMe Conferencing.
